2012 CENTRAL NSW FUTURES FORUM

‘BIODIVERSITY PAYS'

EVENT LOCATION:  Cowra Civic Centre

WHO SHOULD COME: Farmers, Graziers, & Agricultural Advisors

 
A one day forum, chaired by Mr Robyn Williams, AM, renowned presenter, journalist and author, will bring together world class speakers and practising land stewardship champions to present on the production, financial, and biological benefits of maintaining and improving biodiversity on farms.

Some of the speakers include:

- Professor David Lindenmayer, ANU Fenner School of Environment & Society

- Dr Denis Saunders, AM, Research Fellow CSIRO Ecosystems Sciences,

- Mr Peter MacSmith, Principal MSM Milling, Manildra, and

- Mr Cameron McKellar, 2011 Carbon Cocky Award Winner from ‘Inverary Downs’ Spring Ridge.

Associated activities on the following day include a number of Focus Tours, visiting inspiring landholders who are willing to share their vision, success & failures in the management of biodiversity on their properties.

In addition, Robyn Williams, AM, Dr Denis Saunders and Ms Claire Parkes, will present to Senior Secondary School students from throughout the Central West on ‘The State of the Environment, Water and Carbon’. This special program is free to all students & teachers from surrounding schools.

Standard Registration Rate
$100 per person

Includes Forum and Cocktail Party on Day 1, plus Focus Tour on Day 2

Secondary Schools program, Day 2, is available to all students and teachers from surrounding schools. Attendance is free but places are limited.
