Date:
30 Jun 2015 - 9:30am
The Australian Network for Plant Conservation and NSW Local Land Services are holding a FREE native seed provenance workshop at the Charles Sturt University Conference Centre in Wagga Wagga on Tuesday 30 June.

The workshop will run from 9:30am to 3:30pm

Hear presentations by key plant geneticists and practitioners regarding the current best understanding of native seed provenance issues for planning and implementing ecological restoration. In particular, this will be relevant to plant population structures, decline, distribution and gene flows acknowledging climate variability.

The workshop aims to empower participants with knowledge of the implications and potential solutions for project planning, seedsourcing and related logistics of genetic tracking. It will also discuss monitoring for long-term success, resilience and sound investment in projects. And seek to answer the question - what is the definition of ‘local provenance’?
