Small wind and community-scale renewable energy training - Yass

A free training workshop on small wind and community-scale renewable energy is being held on Sunday 9th October, at the Yass Soldiers Club. The workshop is open to landholders, residents, community groups, councils, local business and industry.

The workshop will help you to:

  • Learn how small wind turbines produce clean energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and offset energy costs
  • Learn how to determine your wind resource, and successfully install a small wind turbine
  • Discover how community-scale renewable energy can contribute to your community by delivering a financial return, increasing locally owned infrastructure, creating local jobs, and reducing greenhouse gases

 

Speakers include:

  • Katie Ross - Small wind energy expert, Institute for Sustainable Futures
  • Craig Memery - Wind energy specialist, Alternative Technology Association
