Women in Grazing - Gunning

The Women in Grazing initiative presents this workshop on Succession, Transition and Communication.

This event is based around agribusiness planning, with discussions covering:

  • Succession planning
  • How to establish positive and effective communication
  • How we can value past and future agribusiness generations
  • Inter-generational and family communication tools
  • Moving in and moving on
  • What to do before you retire

The event will be run with two speakers in the morning:

  • Lyn Sykes - Farm family facilitator, and co-author of the GRDC publication "A guide to succession: Sustaining farms and families"
  • Darren Secomb - Facilitator with Nanga Mai Services, working on financial and emotional health with roles in rural lending, credit, problem loan management, staff training and succession planning.

The afternoon will be run as a guided discussion, with the opportunity for participants to write down their questions so they can be answered anonymously. 

Cost is $5, which will go to the Gunning District Community & Health Service.
