The Land Services Officer (Projects) role in Yass is currently being advertised. 
 
• Temporary full-time role until 30 June 2018
• Located in Yass
• Advisory & Technical Grade 5 annual salary starting at $81,369  plus superannuation and annual leave entitlements
• An exciting opportunity to deliver projects that have a positive impact on the local area
 
A Talent Pool may be created from this recruitment action to fill future temporary and ongoing roles across the South East LLS state-wide and across the NSW Public Service that may become available over the next 12 months.
 
About Local Land Services
Local Land Services (LLS) was established in January 2014 to provide quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. The organisation brings together the agricultural advice, biosecurity, natural resource management, emergency services and Soil Conservation Service functions previously provided by 28 organisations into a single organisation comprising around 950 staff with a budget of approximately $225 million. The Sustainable Land Management (SLM) business unit provides regulatory services under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2017.
 
About the Role
This role provides the opportunity for you to have a positive impact on and ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes which in turn support the implementation of LLS regional strategic and local plans.
 
You will provide valuable support in the implementation of projects and programs and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, best practice, organisational systems and policies, and governance methods. Your ability to communicate and develop partnerships with diverse stakeholders, customers and investors along with utilising your skills when undertaking field work and project reporting is imperative to the success of this role.
 
This role also provides the opportunity for you to balance a range of conflicting and competing priorities and projects and oversee delivery tasks assigned to volunteers.
 
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role you will hold a current drivers licence and be willing to travel.
