Get the buzz on native bees
We’re all familiar with honey bees, but did you also know there are about 2,000 species of native bees in Australia?
 Join us as we:
 •         Find out how to spot them in your garden (yes, they are there if you know where & when to look!);
•         Explore why they are important and their roles in gardens, farms and bushland;
•         Plus, how we can look out for them - including how to build your own ‘bee hotel’ (see pictures below)

Karen Retra encourages and observes native bees in her suburban garden in Albury with an enthusiasm that has been described as
‘infectious’. She’s inspired by the diversity and habits of native bees. Through Karen’s photos and videos we’ll take a glimpse into
the relatively little-known world of Australian native bees.
