Friends of Grasslands Visit to Lake Bathurst

10 Oct 2015 - 9:00am
A ‘bring-your-own -everything’ day, at a pretty amazing place that is rarely visited by field naturalists. The Friends of Grasslands (FOG) party that went to Lake Bathurst this time last year found fascinating and sometimes rare plant species which many of the group had not seen before. We may have a similar experience this year.
Some of the group may want to meet at 8 am in north Canberra and carpool or convoy from there. Others will be going direct to the lake area to meet at 9.30 am. Four-wheel-drives will be required for the final entry to the lakeshore. The party will leave the lake at about 3.30 pm.
Wear: Boots for walking, gaiters if possible (against Tiger Snakes), sun protection and outdoor gear suitable for the weather.
You must register with ann.milligan@fog.org.au before Thursday 8 October to get details of the meeting place(s).
