Printer-friendly version
Date:
7 May 2015 - 7:00pm

Murrumbateman LandcareWhere: Murrumbateman Recreation Ground Hall
Topic: Local reptiles
Speaker: Geoff Robertson

Geoff will talk about how to find and identify reptiles in the Canberra region and his own various encounters with them. Geoff is actively researching local reptiles and has been working with Aaron Clausen to establish a reptile module within the Canberra Nature Map - this will enable landowners and reptile enthusiasts to report sightings that should lead to a more complete understanding of local reptile habitats and distributions.

Geoff is an active member and former treasurer of the ACT Herpetological Association. He has given many presentations on reptiles of the Southern Tablelands. He is a former President of the Friends of Grasslands, the Conservation Council for the Canberra Region and Kosciuszko to Coast, Secretary of the Southern Tablelands Ecosystems Park, and committee member of several other organisations. He has also been editor of a number of newsletters.

Please join us for what promises to be an informative evening followed by a cuppa and a chat. If you are able to bring a plate to share, that is always appreciated!

All very welcome.
