Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is encouraging land holders to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for funding to improve productivity on the land whilst protecting the natural environment.
The 2013-14 Incentive program will provide funding to support a range of activities to enable farmers to adopt sustainable farming practices through on-ground works, training and planning sessions.
Activities offered in this Expression of Interest round include the establishment of drought lot feeding facilities, subdivisional fencing for improved grazing management, alternative stock water supply provisions and boxthorn control in rangeland grazing areas.
Ecological communities and endangered species will also benefit from the funding options through the planting of native vegetation corridors, management of habitat patches, fencing, weed and pest animal control.
Submitting an Expression of Interest is a simple task which can be completed in minutes online by clicking here.
The 2013-14 Incentive program will deliver improved natural resource management as part of the transition to Riverina LLS and support the implementation of the Murrumbidgee Catchment Action Plan (CAP) 2013.
The Incentive Program is funded through the Australian Government Caring for our Country program and Catchment Action NSW.
More information regarding eligibility, guidelines and application details can be downloaded from the Murrumbidgee CMA website.
