Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare Join Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare Group for a working bee at CSU on Sunday 2nd June 10.00am

There is plenty of work to keep us occupied (a couple of photos below give you an idea – there’s even a nice view!). Prominent woody weed species are olive, tree of heaven and boxthorn. Some plants (particularly olives) are quite mature and may be difficult to attack with handsaws. The Grounds Supervisor from CSU has offered to participate in the working bee and will have a chainsaw available to attack the largest specimens.

A couple of items the note:

  • Some sections of site are quite steep and rocky so good footwear will be essential.
  • Boxthorn is riddled with thorns so good, thick gloves will be required for volunteers attacking those plants.

The site location and best parking is marked on the attached map. There are also BBQ facilities located in the courtyard of building 20, but we need an indication of numbers so supplies  can ordered.
