Applications for Round Two close at 5pm on Thursday, 7 February 2013.
The Community Energy Efficiency Program (CEEP) is a competitive merit-based grant program that provides co-funding to local governing bodies and non-profit community organisations to implement projects that deliver a range of energy efficiency measures in council and community owned buildings, facilities and sites; particularly where this would benefit low socio-economic and other disadvantaged communities or support energy efficiency in regional and rural councils.
Potential applicants should note that CEEP Round Two has a strong focus on supporting low socio-economic and other disadvantaged communities, as well as regional and rural councils.
Program objectives
The objectives of the CEEP are to:
- Support a range of local councils and community organisations to increase the energy efficiency of different types of non-residential council and community-use buildings, facilities and lighting; particularly where this would benefit low socio-economic and other disadvantaged communities or support energy efficiency in regional and rural councils,
- Demonstrate and encourage the adoption of improved energy management practices within councils, organisations and the broader community.
