The Australian Farmer of the Year Awards celebrate the highly professional, innovative and sustainable approach of our farmers, showcasing their passion and raising the profile of the important role they play in Australia.
The Awards are designed to promote a positive image of Australian farmers, inspire and encourage career choices and investment interest in Australian agriculture.
Awards are presented for the following categories:
- Rural Leader of the Year
- Young Farmer of the Year
- Dairy Farmer of the Year
- Biosecurity Farmer of the Year (Plant)
- Biosecurity Farmer of the Year (Animal)
- Diversification Farmer of the Year
- Grain Grower of the Year
- Wool Producer of the Year
- Horticultural Grower of the Year
- Livestock Producer of the Year
- Farming Woman of the Year
Winners of each category will automatically go in the running for the title of Australian Farmer of the Year.
Anyone can submit a nomination, and you can even nominate yourself, to share your story and help promote Australia's dynamic agricultural industry. People can be nominated in more than one category. More information is available from the Kondinin Group.
