DPI Hay and Silage Competition

NSW Department of Primary Industries are currently seeking entries for this year's Hay and Silage Feed Quality Competition.

The aim of this competition is to promote the benefits of high quality hay and silage to all farmers with emphasis on the importance of feed quality in animal production and how to achieve feed quality in conserved forages.

Entries close on July 6th.

NSW DPI also operate a Feed Quality Service based at Wagga Wagga which provides a quality assured analytical service with a fast turnaround time. The service is based on the latest technology and is fully accredited by NATA. They also participate in all proficiency tests conducted by the Australian Fodder Industry Association (AFIA).
