Yass Area Network - Carbon Farming presentation and dinner

The Yass Area Network of Landcare Groups (YAN) are holding a special dinner and presentation on the Carbon Farming Initiative, along with their Annual General Meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend!
The event will be held on Wednesday 2nd May, at the Murrumbateman Country Inn (cnr Barton Highway and Hercules Street, Murrumbateman). The AGM and dinner will commence at 6.00 pm, with the guest speaker starting at around 7.00 pm.
Tom Krijnen, from the Australian Government Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, will be talking to the group about the new Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI). Tom will talk about the background to the policy and its development, the aims and opportunities available under the scheme, and how land managers and Landcare groups can get involved.
