Riverina Highlands Landcare Network invites you to it’s General Meeting with Guest Speaker:

John Weatherstone “Looking Back – Moving Forward”

John Weatherstone is a 3rd generation farmer who began working on the farm when he 'dropped out' of high school in 1958.

For many years the property operated as a finewool merino enterprise but during the height of the 1982/83 drought John made a simple observation that was to profoundly change the course of his working life and the life of the farm.

The property has undergone a dramatic change and in the process has increased its resilience to drought, improved its financial viability, improved its capital value, and created a beautiful landscape.

Many of us have driven past John’s property “Lynfield Park” at Gunning and acknowledged the amazing transformation to the property over the past 20 years. Here’s your chance to hear his story first hand.

The meeting will be held on Thursday the 2nd October at the Adelong S&C Club starting at 7.30pm.

For catering purposes RSVP to Murrumbidgee CMA Community Support Officer Cherie White on 69412253 or email cherie.white@cma.nsw.gov.au
