Printer-friendly version
Congratulations to David Marsh, Ross Webster and our very own Cross Property Planning project, who were all announced as winners at the NSW Landcare Awards, at the NSW Landcare and Local Land Services Conference in Albury.

The NSW Landcare Awards recognise groups and individuals who are involved in protecting or improving their local environment, farm, bushland, waterway or region. Winners in each category will now go on to represent NSW at the National Landcare Awards in 2018.

David Marsh, of Booroowa Community Landcare, received the prestigious Australian Government Individual Landcarer Award. This Award is made to an individual volunteer who has demonstrated leadership in, and commitment to improving land management practices through practical on-ground or community awareness actions.

Ross Webster, Yass River, received the NSW Fish Habitat Partnership Individual Award. This Award recognises a commitment to significant on-ground rehabilitation actions to improve the state of fish habitat in NSW, and/or active facilitation of increased support and understanding of the importance of fish habitat in NSW.

Murrumbidgee Landcare's Cross Property Planning project was the winner of the Australian Government Excellence in Sustainable Farm Practices Award. This recognises excellence and leadership in implementing integrated land management practices to farm properties to protect soils, water and vegetation.
