On March 21-23 New South Wales' 66 new Local Landcare Coordinators converged on the Stockton RSL for an induction and training workshop, with the theme 'Learn,Share and Connect'.
The Local Landcare Coordinator Initiative was developed as a collaboration between the NSW Government and Landcare NSW, and is funded under the NSW Government’s 2015-2019 Landcare Support Program.
The initiative was established to support the network of local community volunteers working in natural resource management, sustainable agriculuture, and ecological restoration across New South Wales.
Four Local Landcare Coordinators have been engaged by Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc to work with communitites in the Mid-Murrumbidgee, Irrigation Areas, and Rangelands. Contact information will be available soon.
