NRM on Farms Newsletter - March 2016

Here’s the March round-up of recent NRM news relevant to agriculture. Highlights include:

• El Nino is on the wane, and very warm ocean temperatures in the Indian Ocean may provide extra moisture for rain systems crossing Australia.
• Analysis by the Australian Grains Export Innovation Centre shows that Australia’s climate zones have moved significantly southwards in the past 15 years.
• New research in Nature shows that Eastern Australian ecosystems are among the most highly sensitive to climate change on the planet.
