Farmers coexisting with the natural environment was a focus at an inaugural Murrumbidgee Landcare project involving 200 primary school students visiting a local farm.
Skye Bellamy and Tom Wilks who run a 440 acre mixed-farming property, Coombiana, hosted the On Farm Round Robin, which saw the students rotate through eight different stations to learn about life on the farm.
"As children are the consumers of the future they should know where their food comes from and how animals and the environment are cared for on local farms," Ms Bellamy said.
