Prime 7The impact of savage cuts to Landcare in the Federal budget was the topic of a story broadcast on 5 June 2014 on Prime 7 local news in Wagga Wagga.

Illabo land holders, John Hopkins and Bill Muller, both participants in Murrumbidgee Landcare's Cross-property planning project, were interviewed for the story. Both expressed their concern about the cuts and the importance of ongoing funding to support producers to continue Landcare work. Marion Benjamin from Murrumbidgee Landcare raised concern about the impact the cuts would have on our ability to continue Landcare work on private property when we can no longer access grants through such programs as Caring for Our Country.
