3.6. Native Fauna

A number of threatened animal species occur in the Mid Murrumbidgee. Two endangered amphibians, five endangered birds, and one endangered insect are known to occur in the region. Other endangered species are predicted for the region but have not been recorded. Many other vulnerable species are known or expected to occur in the Mid Murrumbidgee.

A list of endangered species for the entire Murrumbidgee Catchment (Upper, Mid and Lower) is given under Schedule 4 of the Catchment Action Plan for 2008.
