The following reserves occur within the Upper Murrumbidgee region:

• Bimberi Nature Reserve
• Hattons Corner Nature Reserve
• Wee Jasper Nature Reserve
• Burrinjuck Nature Reserve
• Burrinjuck State Recreation Area
• Mundoonen Nature Reserve
• Scabby Ranges Nature Reserve
 ACT:
• Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve
• Woodstock Nature Reserve
• Stony Creek Nature Reserve
• Gigerline Nature Reserve
• Bullen Range Nature Reserve
• Jerrabombera Wetlands
• Canberra Nature Park
• Molonglo Gorge Nature Reserve
• Mulligan’s Flat Nature Reserve
The Canberra Nature Park consists of 33 separate nature reserves, dotted around the ACT. Also noteworthy is the Murrumbidgee River Corridor, 6990 hectares of land surrounding the section of the Murrumbidgee River included in the ACT.
