1.2. The Purpose of this Document

This document gives a broad overview of the present state of the catchment, including its natural resources (sections 2–4) and current land-use and agricultural practices (section 5). The final two sections focus on the status and role of Landcare in the catchment (section 6) and the future direction of the catchment (section 7).

This document makes use of many resources – particularly the Catchment Action Plans prepared in 1998 and 2008 by the Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority. A list of sources used is given in Appendix One.

This document should not be regarded as final or authoritative. It will be updated as new information becomes available.
