13.2.1.Purpose of the fence

Livestock protection and confinement are the main reasons to erect fencing on a block. However, there may also be the need to fence off areas such as native remnant vegetation or actively eroding gullies to protect them from livestock and pest animals. Talk to your local Landcare group or CMA representative about suitable fencing and possible funding for this type of work.
