11.2.2. Noxious weeds

Private land owners or occupiers of land are required under the Noxious Weeds Act 1993 to control any declared noxious weed which maybe present on their property. The Wagga Wagga City Council website has information about noxious weeds, general weed control options and resources in this region.
Councils are weed control authorities and employ weed inspectors who have the right to enter and inspect your property. They can issue notices to carry out weed control and can fine you for not controlling weeds.
