Investing in Experience (Skills & Recognition Training)

Printer-friendly version

The Australian Government is investing $20 million over two years to assist mature age workers (aged 50 years and over) to gain formal recognition of their current competencies and receive training to fill any knowledge or skills gaps.

Employers can be paid up to $4,400 (incl. GST) for each worker aged 50 years and over. With this funding you would be able to obtain a nationally recognised qualification at the Certificate III to Advanced Diploma level. RuralBiz Training offers Certificate III in Education support, and Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications in Agriculture and Agribusiness Management.

This initiative will effectively replace the More Help for Mature Age Workers program from July 1, 2012.
