Volunteers needed to repair flood-damaged fences!

Printer-friendly version

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation that works with farmers and families in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods.

Volunteers are currently being urgently sought in Ungarie, Wagga Wagga, Narrandera and Young.

Working alongside the farmers, volunteers help to rebuild fences that have been damaged or destroyed, as well as lifting the spirits of farmers who are often facing their second or third flood event after years of drought.

Volunteers do not need any previous fencing experience. Every contribution makes a difference.

Basecamps have been established at Wagga Wagga and Ungarie and will be forming at Narrandera on Monday 23 April and Young on Monday 30 April.

If you are interested in volunteering, please visit BlazeAid's Volunteering Information page.

If you are a landholder seeking assistance with post-flood fence repairs check out the Fencing Help page.
