The Native Pasture Alternative Fertiliser Trial is a project being run by Binalong Landcare and NSW DPI. The project aims to investigate a range of alternative fertiliser products for use on native perennial grass based pastures in the Yass district to increase soil fertility and pasture productivity.
The field day will provide landholders with the opportunity to observe visual differences between fertiliser treatments on trial plots at "Kia-Ora", Bookham.
The day will consist of an inspection of the trial plots, followed by a discussion on nutrient cycling, based on research conducted on the Bookham Grazing Demonstration.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend!
Meet at the trial site at Kia-Ora: Whitefields Road, off the Hume Highway, approximately 6 km from the Bookham village.
