Adelong Gold Mill Conservation Break
Primary tabs
Week long 6 days / 5 nights away project, volunteer contribution $208
Conservation Volunteers Australia has been working to protect the heritage value of this historic town near the foot of the Snowy Mountains since 2008. It was once a centre for gold mining in the area and is home to Adelong Falls and the ruins of Gold Mill Reserve. Volunteers will stay in nearby cabins and will spend the week undertaking various tasks among these ruins to preserve their integrity and tourist value. There will be a variety of jobs which may include repairing dry stone walls, fencing, weed control, and new plantings.
