Kangaroos in the landscape - Yass

Yass Landcare Group invite you to their next information evening - "Kangaroos in the Landscape".
The meeting will be held at the LLS Office, Mitchell Street Yass.
Guest speaker Claire Wimpenny, Ecologist to the ACT Government, will speak on the current state of knowledge on the ecology of Eastern Grey Kangaroos:
- The kangaroos' place in the landscape
- Grazing and browsing habits
- Ecological benefits and pressures
- Social behaviours
- Life cycle
- Breeding behaviour and population trends
- Management options for landholders (both graziers and others) with an interest in maintaining complex biodiverse grasslands and wooded areas.
A representative from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage has also been invited, to advise on NSW position.
The intended schedule:
7.30 -8.30pm Presentation and questions
8.30 - 9.00pm - Tea and sticky buns with informal discussion with the presenter(s)
9.00 - 9.30pm - YLG Business meeting and forward planning: and a little later if necessary.
If you wish to participate in the last part of the evening your ideas for YLG future activities are welcome - field days, projects, funding opportunities/needs and other issues you think we should discuss; bikkies and cake would also be welcome :-)
