Wildlife licensing changes: Public consultation
12 June to 24 July 2018
Native plants and animals in New South Wales are protected by the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. Under the Act, the management of human-native wildlife interactions is proposed to change to a new risk-based approach.
A discussion paper on the proposed changes, a draft revised draft Animal Keepers Species List, and three proposed codes of practice for keeping native birds, frogs and reptiles are now available for comment.
