Primary tabs
Date:
10 May 2018 - 8:45am
The Binalong Landcare branch is holding its AGM on Thursday 10th May. This will be followed by a field day focused on how drones can benefit graziers. Morning tea will be provided.
This event, presented by Ross Samuelson, will provide landholders information about using drones, what rules and regulations apply and how they can be valuable to a farming or grazing enterprise.
During the morning, National Drones can be used to give an insight as to what is happening in the paddock from checking heifers that are calving, confirming water levels in troughs and dams, checking fence lines, counting stock numbers and identifying feral animal and weed issues.
National Drones are also trialing the use of drones to control weeds in remote and difficult to access sites. A demonstration of the use of drones to control blackberries on a nearby steep hillside will be provided.
The event will be held at "Kuriong" Woolshed, 70 Bendenine Road Binalong. Meet at 7.45am for an 8.00 am start.
