"Conservation in Action" conference - Bathurst

"Conservation in Action: Research to Reality" is a conference that will bring together industry leaders in the conservation field. From scientists to policy makers, program managers through to specialists in implementing works in the field, this event will pull together all disciplines of natural resource management to demonstrate how we're turning Research into Reality.
Presentations will be held across the two full days of the conference and will cover the following themes:
- Local threatened species
- Threatening processes
- Waterways management
- Diversity - Creating It!
- Habitat linkages
- Practical action
Additionally, a series of workshops are planned for Tuesday 15 May, which will also be the date of the Welcome Drinks event.

The conference will be hosted in Bathurst, at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, which is located within the CBD of Bathurst providing ease of accessibility to a range of accommodation, dining and entertainment options.
Sessions will pull together research findings through to case studies and will demonstrate all of the policies, programs and plans in between that enable environmental practitioners to implement best management practice on the ground. Learn about the latest threatened species recovery work and research while networking with some of the leaders in managing our native flora and fauna.
The conference is being organised as a partnership between Central Tablelands Local Land Services, Central Tablelands Landcare and Central West Councils Environment & Waterways Alliance.
