1 Mar 2018 (All day)
Agrihack returns in 2018, and will see ideas, data, technology experience and inspiration converge in a two day super innovation and business brainstorm session!
Agrihack will involve participants working in teams to creatively solve a number of different challenges that people face on the land. The event provides an opportunity to further connect the entrepreneurial ecosystem of metro areas with rural farmers, developers and disruptors.
Agrihack will finish with a pitch to a board of judges and supporters. The winning teams will take home a cash prize and will have the opportunity to develop their idea further.
This year high school agriculture students are also invited to take part, with a separate prize to be awarded to the winning team thanks to last years winning team who has donated the prize money back.
The event will bring together farmers, software and web developers, agribusiness professionals, and academics (to name a few), and will be run in partnership with Charles Sturt University’s AgriTech Incubator and the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation.
Sessions will be facilitated by Hackathons Australia, the leading community hackathon experts, empowering participants with the skills to turn their business solutions into reality. Hackathons Australia has an impressive body of work having previously worked with the likes of WWF, Schneider Electric, Corenet Global Australian Chapter, GovHack, and StartCon/Freelancer. This will be their first agriculture-based hack.
