Shear 4 Mates - Coolamon

Shear 4 Mates is an initiatve of the Music 4 Mates group, and is a fun family event which also aims to raise awareness about suicide, mental health and general wellbeing.

Local shearer, Jarrod Edyvean, will attempt to shear for 12 hours (7.30 am to 7.30 pm) to raise funds that will support continuing work to fight mental health and suicide problems in the community. This free event will also include free children's entertainment, 'Show and Shine', sheep races, mechanical bull riding, and live entertainment from 2.00 to 10.00 pm.

Music 4 Mates was established in 2013 by a group of people from the Coolamon community who had been deeply affected by suicide, and saw a need to promote suicide awareness and prevention at a local level. For more information, check out the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/music4mates/
