Children's Week Design Competition
Primary tabs
Date:
13 Oct 2017 (All day)
This year as part of NSW Children’s Week the Office of the Advocate for Young People (ACYP) is launching a design competition for all NSW children and young people under the age of 18. Draw, paint, design... on paper, on canvas, on a computer... the only limit is your imagination! Engage your creative side and be in with an opportunity to win a GoPro for yourself and one for your school/organisation/community group or club, a $100 voucher or a $50 voucher.
PLUS have your design printed on ties and scarves to be worn by NSW opinion leaders. Copies will be provided to the NSW Premier, the Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP, exhibited in NSW Parliament House during NSW Children's Week and will be exhibited on the ACYP website and in ACYP reports.
Over 4000 NSW children and young people have had their say on what is important to them. The qualities of a good society that children and young people wanted are Safe, Connect, Respect, Opportunity, Wellbeing and Voice. So we are asking children and young people to take their inspiration from what their peers have said:
- Select one or more of the six themes (Safe, Connect, Respect, Opportunity, Wellbeing and Voice)
- Draw, paint, or design your artwork
- Submit a high resolution photo or scan of your artwork before 13 October 2017
Enter now! The competition closes on Friday 13 October and the winners will be announced during 2017 Children's Week between 21 and 29 October.
