Who: This workshop is for anyone in the community who undertakes landcare type activities e.g. revegetation, restoration, weed control and who would like to know more about what climate change will mean for this kind of activity.
When: 9:00am to 4:00pm, Wednesday 7th June 2017
Where: Mercure Canberra (Olims), Carlton Room, Corner of Limestone and Ainslie Avenues, Braddon, ACT
Travel: By car: on-site no-cost car-parking is available. By bus: routes 9 and 10.

• Professor Peter Bridgewater, Chair, Landcare ACT: The role of landcare in climate change.
• Dr Nola Hancock, Macquarie University: The climate-ready revegetation guide.
• Ms Alison Elvin, Natural Capital Ltd: Native grasses and pastures as natural adapters.
• Mr Steve Taylor, ACT Parks and Conservation Service: Outlook for weed management.
PROGRAM
1. The workshop will start with the big picture, progressively provide more detailed information and opportunity for discussion, and then provide the opportunity to reflect on the practical implications.
2. Presentations will set the context for Landcare groups operating in the reality of climate change adaptation.
3. The workshop will consider the practical implications of climate change adaptation for landcarers and groups.
The workshop is funded by the National Landcare Programme and the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility Network for Natural Ecosystems.
