Mothers' Day Woodland Birds - Flat Rock, Yass
Primary tabs
Ever wondered what those little birds flying through Yass Gorge in Autumn are? If so, or if you’re just curious about birds or the fabulous Yass Gorge, come along to our Woodland Bird Day.
Date: Sunday 14 May 2017
Time: 8 am
Venue: Meet at Flat Rock, where Pritchett St meets the river.
Damon Oliver of the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage will be coming out to Yass to talk about the woodland birds that inhabit Yass Gorge during Autumn. After a quick presentation, he will take us for a walk through the Gorge to see what birds are about, hence why the day starts so early as that is when the birds are about!
It is a free event so why don’t you grab your Mum and bring her out for an early morning walk through Yass Gorge where we’re bound to see some lovely little birds. Then you can hit Yass township for brunch at one of the amazing cafes or restaurants!
Don’t forget to put on some sunscreen, a hat and sturdy boots and bring your binoculars if you have a pair.
