Holistic Management Course Expressions of interest - Bungendore and Braidwood
Primary tabs
Holistic Management has been developed over the last 50 years by Zimbabwean wildlife biologist-farmer Allan Savory who identified human decision making as a key cause of environmental degradation, particularly in grassland ecosystems and pastures.
The strategic planning, decision making and monitoring approaches developed as part of Holistic Management can be equally applied to farms, businesses and organisations. Regular testing of decision making against a long term vision for local people and the environment helps to ensure that the group and the community is moving closer to the sort of future that they want. It does not dictate any particular approach or recipe. Instead, it helps decision makers to understand the implications of their decisions and the potentially complex impacts.
Expressions of interest are open for the nationally accredited TAFE course planned to start in October 2016 in the Bungendore and Braidwood area. Contact Tony Hill (mob: 0412-128 755 or email) for more information and to participate in an application to obtain a 100% fee subsidy.
