Australian Hackathon: AgriHack Grain - Wagga Wagga

Registrations are now open for the first Australian Hackathon - AgriHack Grain.
This three day event is being held in partnership with Charles Sturt University 16 - 18 September in Wagga Wagga and will involve the following:
 
Friday 16th - Kids, Ag and Innovation day  Bringing primary school aged children into the university setting to explore the grain trials, do some lab work and undertake a coding session. This is an initiative aimed to invest into our next generation farmers and get them thinking about agriculture in a more scientific and technical way.
 
Friday 16th Evening - Launch Dinner - tickets on sale soon
Saturday and Sunday 17th/18th Tech and Social Hacks
Tech hack (centered around a grain based challenge) and Social Hack (centered around spouse mental health on the land programs and policy).
 
Team Structure There are ten team places (5 per team) for each hack and entry is free. Team structure will be announced on the day of the event. Each team must consist of the following participants:
 
  •  Farmer (or farmers spouse for social hack)
  •  Industry (support or corporate)
  •  Government (support agencies)
  •  Academia (CSU based students and staff)
  •  Developers/Design Thinkers/engineers
Prizes, Coverage and Sponsorship A cash prize plus opportunities to negotiate with sponsors post event will be on offer.
 
National and local media coverage of the event will take place across both agricultural and tech publications.
