Narrandera koala count

Printer-friendly version
Date:
17 Apr 2016 - 10:00am

Head along to Narrandera Common (aka Narrandera Koala/Wildlife Reserve) on Sunday 17 April for the annual Koala Count - one of the longest-running citizen science koala-monitoring programs in Australia.

Time: 10am - 12pm

Cost: Free

What to bring: sturdy, closed shoes; drinking water; sunscreen and a hat; binoculars if you have them (not essential); sharp eyes; a friendly smile.

This is a family-friendly event, and a great way to see koalas in the wild.

Dogs are allowed in the reserve on leads, but it is requested that they not be brought along to the koala count, to avoid distressing the koalas.
