THE Agricultural Competitiveness Green Paper has been released by the Federal Government and those in agriculture are being encouraged to have their say.
Minister for Agriculture Barnaby Joyce said the paper outlined a range of vital issues for agriculture including: developing a comprehensive drought policy, increasing innovation, improved access to finance, reliable and efficient transport and communication infrastructure, transparent and competitive supply and value chains, biosecurity and a streamlining of regulation relating to environmental management and workplace safety.
The Government will take submissions on the green paper until 12 December 2014.
