Peak phosphorus and phosphorus efficiency next on the Agenda at Sutton Landcare.
Sutton Landcare will hold its AGM at 7.30 pm at Sutton School on Tuesday April 9.
At 8.00 pm, our guest speaker, Dr Richard Simpson, will address us on the soil phosphorus story.
Richard is Senior Research Scientist at CSIRO’s Sustainable Agricultural Flagship Program which brings together CSIRO’s research on agricultural and environmental sustainability. His research interest spans a broad area of pasture systems agronomy including pasture management and botanical composition, feeding value of forages for livestock, plant nutrition and fertilizer use. His presentation will contain an update on the issue of Peak Phosphorus and the work of him and his team on improving phosphorus efficiency in soils. All interested persons are welcome to attend.
