16th Australian Agronomy Conference - Armidale

The 16th Australian Agronomy Conference will be hosted by the University of New England on 14th to 18th October 2012. The Conference will be based around the theme "Capturing opportunities and overcoming obstacles in Australian agronomy".

Keynote speakers will include:
- Dr Bob Clements (formerly of CSIRO and ACIAR) - What has Australian agronomy contributed to world food security in the last 20 years, and what lies ahead?
- Jock Laurie (President, National Farmers Federation) - Are Australian farmers, the agricultural research community and governments capable of adapting to changing paradigms in agronomy?
- Dr Michael Walsh (Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative, UWA) - Opportunities and obstacles for Australian agronomy related to weed management
- Prof David Lamb (UNE) - Electronic agriculture
- Dr Jennifer Marohassy (Centre for Plant and Water Science, CQU) - Chemical-free agriculture.
