Welcome to the July edition of Murrumbidgee Landcare's e-news!
The National Landcare Conference is coming up in October this year, and we are very excited that 5 of our local Landcare Champions are in the running for Awards! Even better, you can help us gain greater recognition by voting for your local nominee’s in the People’s Choice Awards [1]! Our nominees are all in different categories, which means you can vote for all five:
- David Marsh (Boorowa) is in the running for the Australian Government Individual Landcarer Award
- Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc is in the running for the Australian Government Excellence in Sustainable Farm Practices Award
- John Ive (Yass) is in the running for the Australian Government Innovation in Agriculture Land Management Award
- Ginninderra Catchment Group are in the running for the Fairfax Landcare Community Group Award
- Miranda Gardner (Southern ACT Catchment Management Group) is in the running for the Austcover Young Landcare Leader Award
Find out more about all the nominees here [2], and submit your vote here [3].
Murrumbidgee Landcare have also been busy compiling all the valuable feedback and ideas we received as part of the Riverina Landcare Strategic Plan process. Find out what we’re up to [4], and what is happening next!
Remember, if you’d like some assistance or advice, you can always contact your Local Landcare Coordinator [5] or the Murrumbidgee Landcare office [6]. We’re here to help all Landcarer’s in our region!
