Paddock Tree project: Landholder expression of interest
This project aims to secure habitat connectivity through the protection and enhancement of paddock trees in the Kyeamba and Tarcutta Valleys.
We aim to provide support and education to landholders to help identify key sites for paddock tree protection or restoration. We will provide financial assistance to landholders to implement these works, including fencing and planting costs.
The project is being run through a partnership between Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc, Kyeamba Valley Landcare Group and Tarcutta Valley Landcare Group, with funding from the NSW Environmental Trust.
What funding is available?
Funding assistance is available to landholders in the Kyeamba and Tarcutta Valley Landcare areas to protect existing paddock trees, and/or plant new paddock trees.
The project will assist with the costs towards:
- Protecting and enhancing paddock trees. Existing paddock trees can be fenced to minimize livestock damage and allow natural regeneration. Revegetation around existing trees may also be included
- Planting new paddock trees. Locally native paddock tree seedlings can be planted, and protected with individual guards.
