Junior Landcare Garden Grants
Coles and Yates are working together with Junior Landcare to offer $10,000 worth of Garden Grants to schools and youth groups. The program is being run as a competition, with a $5,000 grant up for grabs, as well as five $1,000 grants.
Murrumbidgee CMA Community Partnerships Program 2011-12
Funding of up to $20,000 per project is available to incorporated community groups and not-for-profit organisations to undertake small on-ground projects tackling important local natural resource management issues.
Be Natural Landcare grants
Landcare Australia and Be Natural have launched a grant program to provide grants of up to $5,000 to 25 Landcare groups. The program is designed to enable groups to continue their work in tackling local environmental issues by providing funding to help with the continuation of ongoing projects.

Family night stalk - Kyeamba Valley Landcare Group
Brave children and their parents are invited to join the Kyeamba Valley Landcare Group's Family Night Stalk!
The night will start with a free BBQ. Australian National University Woodlands scientist, Rebecca Montague-Drake, will then lead the group on the night-time stalk, as we discover arboreal marsupials in our local woodlands.
NSW Landcare Forum
Head to Parkes for the 2011 NSW Landcare and Catchment Management Forum and the NSW Landcare Awards. Parkes and Districts Landcare will host the 2011 NSW Landcare & Catchment Management Forum in Parkes from the 5-7 September 2011.
Graham Centre Annual Field Day - Wagga
The Annual Field Day for the EH Graham Centre will be held on Wednesday 7 September 2011, from 8.30 am to 12 noon. The theme for this year's event is "Research for mixed farming systems".
The Field Day will be held at the Graham Centre Field Site, located at the corner of Prices Rd and Coolamon Rd, Wagga.

Carbon Farming Conference - Dubbo
The 2011 "Carbon Farming Conference and Expo: Preparing Farmers to Trade" will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 September 2011.
There will also be a "Festival of Fertiliser" expo, to be held on Tuesday 27 September 2011.
Stipa Native Grasslands Conference - Holbrook
Stipa, the Native Grasslands Association, present the Seventh National Native Grasslands Conference: Managing native grasslands for soil and animal health.
The conference will be held at the Holbrook Town Hall on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 November 2011.
National Threatened Species Day
National Threatened Species Day (NTSD) is held on 7 September each year - commemorating the death of the last Tasmanian tiger at Hobart Zoo in 1936. Events are held nationally throughout September - Biodiversity Month. Australia's landscapes and species have been severely impacted by over 200 years of habitat loss and fragmentation.

Cargill Beef Australia are offering free composting material to landholders, for use on rural/agricultural land.
Cargill are able to supply 200 t per year, and have offered to supply the material free of charge to interested landholders.
