Volunteer in the Landcare Shed at Henty Field Days!
The Henty Field Days are fast approaching, and will take place from Tuesday 18 to Thursday 20 September.
The Field Days attract over 60,000 people from across the Riverina and Murray areas, so it is a great opportunity to spread the word about what we are doing in Landcare, and to promote sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.
We would love your group (either Landcare, community or agricultural) to assist us with our display this year! There are two opportunities available: providing information / resources to display in the shed, and volunteering to help in the shed during the event.
Your involvement can be as big or as small as you are able to manage; we'd really like to include all of our Landcare network in the event, so please contact us to find out how you can be involved.
Displays
If you would like some space to display information about your group, please email Julie Bellato.
There are boards available to pin display posters to and shed space for your own display boards. There is also plenty of room for other items, such as pull up banners, posters, small branches of native flora, rustic pots to display and a few small hollow logs.
Volunteering
We really need volunteers to assist with the manning of the site over the three days, and also to help set up on the afternoon of Monday 17 Sep, and pack up on the afternoon of Thursday 20 Sep.
We really value the input of the Landcare community, as it is so important that real people are able to talk to others about becoming involved in Landcare.
If you have time to volunteer on the stand - even a few hours, or half a day - would be a huge help. You won't be on your own - our Local Landcare Coordinators will be there across the three days as well.
Volunteers will not need to know everything about Landcare! We'll provide you with some basic information, but really we just want you to talk about what you do with Landcare, and there will be information there for people who are interested in getting involved.
If you are able to volunteer, please email Julie Bellato with details of times/days when you are able to help.
