Monday 17 November FIELD TRIPS [draft program subject to change]
“Partnerships and Parkcare: landcare in the ACT.”
8.00 am Registration opens at the Queanbeyan City Council Conference Centre, Crawford St, Queanbeyan.
8.30am Opening of the UMCCC & MLI Forum Day 1
Field trip housekeeping
Tea, coffee and morning tea available.
9.00am Bus departs Queanbeyan City Council Conference Centre.
9.40-10.20am The Forde Development – urban design for the catchment.
10.45-11.15am Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve northern ACT
Mulligans Flat and Bush on the Boundary.
11.40-12.15pm Umbagong District Park & Landcare Group – Ginninderra Creek revitalisation and Frogwatch.
12.45pm Cotter Reserve - LUNCH PROVIDED
1.15-2.15pm Mt MacDonald – Bushfire Regeneration.
2.30-3.20pm Cooleman Ridge and Mt Taylor Parkcare – group organisation and on site works.
3.45-4.30pm Queanbeyan River - Queanbeyan City Council, Queanbeyan Landcare River Restoration and Willow removal program
5.00pm Bus arrives back at Queanbeyan Function Centre

Snacks, fruit and drinks will be available during the day in addition to lunch

PLEASE WEAR SENSIBLE SHOES & CLOTHING, BRING A HAT, SUNSCREEN AND ANY PERSONAL ITEMS REQUIRED FOR THE DAY
