What is the Box Gum Grassy Woodland Lachlan Murrumbidgee Project?
The project is part of the Australian Government's Caring for our Country - Environmental Stewardship, helping land managers to protect the environment on their land.
Eligible land managers can enter into financial contracts with the Government for up to 15 years. This means you could receive an annual payment to look after and improve the quality and extent of at least five hectares of Box Gum Grassy Woodland on your land.
The project is open to managers of private land (leasehold and freehold) in the Lachlan and Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority boundaries in NSW.
